Charter Enrollment Information
Student enrollment in a public charter school is voluntary
All students who reside in the school district in which the public charter school is located are eligible for enrollment in the public charter school if space is available.
Students who do not reside in the school district in which the public charter school is located are eligible for enrollment in the public charter school if space is available.
A public charter school may not limit student enrollment based on race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, national origin, disability, the terms of an individualized education program, income level, proficiency in the English language or athletic ability.
A public charter school may implement a weighted lottery that favors historically underserved students as provided by subsection (3)(a)
CASL Enrollment Procedures

Application for enrollment

A lottery waitlist created if applicable

In-district students are given priority and enrolled before out-of-district students

OLR & Paperwork is completed

Student Schedule is created
Once Enrolled
Students receive a grade level schedule and a CASL buddy for the first week.
Students are assigned a Home Room Advisor who they see daily for homework help, SEL activities, school-wide information, Service Learning/Student Success Day planning, and more.
Students build yearly portfolios that demonstrate their academic growth and achievements that build on each other from grade to grade.
